Dr. Joel Werier is an orthopaedic oncologist practicing at The Ottawa Hospital and The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at The University of Ottawa and former director of the University of Ottawa Orthopaedic Surgery residency training program. His current positions include lead of The Ottawa Hospital Sarcoma Program and the Orthopaedic Oncology fellowship program. He is the co-lead of the sarcoma section of the Program of Evidence Based Care at Cancer Care Ontario. Research interests include developing virtual reality platforms for enhanced surgical planning and communication.
