Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery
City of Hope National Medical Center
I am an Orthopaedic Oncologist currently practicing at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California. I specialize in the treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcoma of the pelvis and the extremities and perform limb-salvage surgery with complex reconstruction. My focus has been on joint preservation surgery with the application of distraction osteogenesis/bone transport for reconstruction of bony defects when possible. This includes pioneering the use of internal magnetic limb-lengthening and bone transport nails. I have also been utilizing this technology to correct limb-length discrepancies and deformities that occur after tumor resection. My goal has been to provide a biologic reconstruction and restore the patient's function to as normal as possible.
