Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
I am a board-certified medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center who specializes in caring for patients with sarcomas. These include soft tissue sarcomas as well as bone sarcomas. Outside of providing patient care, I spend much of my time as a physician-scientist working in the laboratory. I focus on understanding how tumor plasticity drives cancer progression. To this end, my research efforts are concentrated on identifying the molecular drivers of plasticity in both lung adenocarcinomas and sarcomas. Using state of the art single cell technologies combined with molecular biology, computational biology, and classical genetics, I design and develop new techniques and tools to define and explore the effect of plasticity on tumor evolution. The ultimate goal of my work is to understand how tumors depend on plasticity to evolve, and how we can take advantage of this dependence to develop new therapies.
