Sydney has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist for 4 years after graduating from LSU School of Allied Health Professions-Shreveport in 2019. She began her career at MD Anderson in acute care with experience in the hematology and head and neck surgery population before specializing in Orthopaedic Oncology rehabilitation. She serves as the primary OT for all bone tumor and sarcoma patients and contributes to a variety research projects examining post-surgical outcomes in patients who have undergone limb-salvage procedures and amputations. She has a special interest in the hemipelvectomy population and is inspired by the resilience and strength of her patients to overcome great odds in the fight against cancer.
